Victoria Mooncotch is a dedicated professional in the cannabis industry with a proven track record of excellence and leadership. She co-founded the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Law’s Cannabis Law Society in the fall of 2023, demonstrating her commitment to advancing legal education and decreasing stigma in this emerging field. Her hands-on experience at Verano Holdings, one of the top cannabis holding companies in the United States, has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry's intricacies. During her tenure at Verano, Victoria crafted substantive work product on national licensing priorities, conducted commercial analysis for new market expansions, and developed standard operating procedures for national retail operations, show casing her ability to handle high-level deliverables and complex projects. Additionally, Victoria writes quarterly newsletters on fashion law updates for the ABA Fashion Committee as their Communications Leader.
Prior to law school, Victoria gained invaluable experience as a litigation paralegal for four years, which inspired her to pursue a legal career.
